Mail cost calculator
What does it really cost to send a business letter?
A letter that does the math with you. Every blank is editable. Every assumption is sourced. Our price is exact; your in-house cost is an estimate, and we keep those visually distinct on purpose.

Dear business owner,
You send about 100 letters a month, around 1 page each, in B&W, sent regular.
We would charge you exactly $185.00 a month - $1.85 a letter, no subscription - and your mail arrives in 1-5 business days.
Doing it yourself runs roughly ~$300.00–$500.00 a month once you count 5 minutes a letter at $21.64/hr, $0.87 a letter in materials, and the 45 minute post-office run. Those are our guesses about your shop - change the blanks above.
That leaves you $115-$315 a month and 5.5–12.7 hours of someone's time.
Plainly,
POSTMARKR
P.S. - Under 18 letters a month the savings are small; it is about the time. Over 499, in-house presort can beat us. We will say so.
Fair questions
What is exact and what is estimated?
Postmarkr's price is exact because it comes from the live pricing engine. In-house cost is an editable estimate based on sourced labor, supply, and errand assumptions.
When should we not use Postmarkr?
At very low volume, use Postmarkr only if the errand is the problem. At high volume, compare in-house presort before choosing any vendor.
Can I share this estimate?
Yes. The estimate state lives in the URL so a link with letters, pages, color, or certified settings recreates the same letter.
